ELECTRICAL UPGRADE AT BUZZARDS BAY PARK

The Buzzards Bay Vitalization Association, Cape Cod Canal Region
Chamber of Commerce, and Bourne Department of Public Works partnered
together to provide updated electrical service at the Park.
An investment of over $6000.00 has been made to provide better
electrical service for the Free Concerts in the Park Series and
Bourne Scallop Fest sponsored by the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber
of Commerce, Road Race sponsored by the Buzzards Bay Vitalization
Association, and many other events sponsored by other non-profit
organizations throughout the year.
Jeff Luce, President of BBVA, stated: “The electrical service
at the Park hasn’t been updated for quite some time. This
was a way to improve the service and provide the community the
kind of help needed to promote the many events at the Park.”
Mr. Luce spearheaded the effort including getting some parts from
Johnson Electrical Supply in Sagamore Beach.
Marie Oliva, President/CEO of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber
emphasized: “It’s great when non-profit organizations
work directly with the town to finance projects that benefit the
entire community. It’s a true example of a win-win
situation.”
