A CANAL CHRISTMAS

christmas The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber has released their annual “Christmas In Sandwich” ornament, hand-blown by master glassblower Michael Magyar of The Glass Studio on Cape Cod .  Each ornament is etched with “Christmas In Sandwich, 19th, 2011” and individually numbered.   A limited edition of 500 ornaments will be produced.   

The Chamber is also offering a hand-blown Canal Christmas Candy Cane created by Michael Magyar.  To fall in line with this year’s theme, the candy cane is twists of clear and aqua glass.

Cost of the ornament is $32 and the candy cane is $15.  Each ornament can be shipped for an additional charge.  These collectible ornaments can be purchased online, at the Chamber Business Office in Buzzards Bay, the Cape Cod Canal Region Visitor Center at the base of the Sagamore Bridge and the following Sandwich locations: The Snow Goose Shop, The Dan’l Webster Inn & Spa, Cape Cod Cooperative Bank, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Citizens Bank and The Glass Studio on Cape Cod.

December 2, Friday, Christmas in Old Bourne Village, 6-8PM, Jonathan Bourne Historical Center & Bourne Archives, 30 Keene St., Chowder, Caroling and view exhibit on Camp Edwards, a collaborative of the Bourne Historical Society and proposed Cape Cod Military Museum.  Punch, crackers & cheese at the new exhibit at Bourne Archives.
