Buzzards Bay - The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce has scheduled another exciting year for the popular “Eastern Bank Concerts by the Canal” series.  The concerts are held at Buzzards Bay Park, at the Gazebo, each Thursday evening during July and August from 6:30PM – 8:30PM, right along the banks of the Canal near the base of the Bourne Railroad Bridge.

The series will kick off with a blood drive on Thursday, July 7 from 12-6pm.  Cape Cod Healthcare will be at Buzzards Bay Park in their state-of-the-art and completely self-contained blood mobile.  In about an hour, a donor can complete the entire blood donation process, including health history, donation and post donation refreshments.  Every donor will get a movie pass when they donate, and the satisfaction of knowing that every pint of blood donated stays on Cape Cod to serve our community and saves the lives of friends, family, and neighbors.

Also keep a lookout for the Mermaids on Cape Cod for a chance to shop nautical themed jewelry and accessories inspired by our beautiful community.  The aqua colored bus will make an appearance at several concerts throughout the series, including the kick-off on July 7th.  Catch them if you can!

Make sure to bring a blanket or a lawn chair, a picnic dinner and the entire family to enjoy this favorite summer happening!

The concerts are funded in part by a generous grant from Eastern Bank, the Bourne Cultural Council & the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and 27 local businesses.   Admission is FREE.    FREE PARKING is available at the train depot and adjacent to Buzzards Bay Park at the base of the Railroad Bridge.
